Nancy O'Dell began her broadcast career as a reporter and anchor on WPDE-TV which was located in Myrtle Beach South Carolina. Then she became an anchor in the morning and a reporter on WCBD TV. When she was in Charleston O'Dell's stories on the lenient police approach to DUI cases led to the launch of a State Law Enforcement Division investigation which resulted in the State authorities issuing the strictest guidelines regarding the instances. It was reported that the Associated Press honored Ms. O'Dell with the Best Report of the Years Award in all South Carolina Media. O'Dell later worked at the Miami-based NBC station WTVJ-TV as an investigative reporter, before she joined Access Hollywood in the role as a weekend anchor. Her current position as host of Access Hollywood is complemented by her work on NBC News Today, Dateline NBC and NBC News. She has reported on occasions like The Oscars The Emmys The Grammys The Golden Globe Awards, as well co-hosting Pre ShowArrivals Programs during The Emmys. Her other co-hosting credits include Miss USA, the Miss USA pageant, and Miss Universe.
